Beyond the day to day of your business, occasionally there are special events. Often these events cannot be contemplated under a regular general liability due to the location and/or the nature of the event. Fortunately, special events coverage is the answer.
What Does Special Events Insurance Include?
Special events coverage can cover many events including trade shows, concerts, sales meetings, sporting events, weddings, fundraisers, farmers markets, parties and dances. It is different than general liability in what it can cover. Special coverages include:
- Weather delays or cancellations
- Liquor Liability
- Lost Deposits
- Additional Insureds
- Waivers of Subrogation
There are a variety of potential claims that may arise from your event. Maybe the event venue under construction isn’t completed in time. Perhaps 12” of rain falls the morning of your event, flooding roads leading to the venue. Hypothetically, attendees at your sales conference cause damage to furniture at the hotel. These are all examples of claims covered by special events insurance.
